Product Designer
We're building a new healthcare clearinghouse =============================================
Stedi is the only headless clearinghouse and RCM engine. Headless means every part of our product is accessible via API. Developers and AI agents build their own interface on top of it. By offering modern, AI-ready APIs alongside traditional real-time and batch EDI processes, we enable both healthcare technology businesses and established players to exchange mission-critical transactions. Our clearinghouse product and customer-first approach have set us apart. Stedi was ranked by Ramp as one of the fastest-growing SaaS vendors.
Stedi has lightning in a bottle: engineers and designers shipping products week in and week out; a lean business team supporting the company's infrastructure; a passion for automation and eliminating toil; and $142 million in funding from top investors like Stripe, Addition, USV, Bloomberg Beta, First Round Capital, and more.
To see what we ship, watch the 2026 Stedi Keynote. To learn more about how we work, watch our founder Zack's interview with First Round Capital.
What we’re looking for --------------------------
Stedi is the world's only programmable healthcare clearinghouse. By offering a modern API interface for running eligibility checks and processing claims, healthcare technology businesses can exchange transactions with payers without dealing with the EDI protocol or carrier-specific connectivity.
As we continue to scale, we are looking for an experienced product designer who can own the look, feel, polish, and implementation of the UI of our new healthcare products. We work in a highly technical space—it’s full of detail, interesting interaction problems, and knotty user experience challenges. If you’re passionate about healthcare and mastering the design of complex systems, we’d love to hear from you.
What you'll do ------------------
- Deliver high-quality design work, from conception to delivery, for various products on the Stedi platform
- Work collaboratively and build with engineers and our customer team to identify and solve user, product, and business problems
- Help define strategy — understanding and articulating the product’s goals, success metrics, roadmap, and commitments
- Design and prototype multiple ideas quickly and connect regularly with customers to validate product directions
- Improve our internal design system, and push for higher quality across the whole product, not just the screens in front of you.
Who you are ---------------
- 4+ years of product design experience at a product-driven tech company shipping software
- Healthcare experience required
- Frontend development experience with React, Next.js and HTML/CSS
- Experience shipping software that works on complex problems, such as developer tools, revenue-cycle management, fintech systems, process management, or others
- Have good practical knowledge of end-to-end product design — from user research through high-fidelity design and developer handoff.
- Comfortable working with engineering, design, and business teams
- A great juggler of creative optimism and critical investigation
- Comfortable building iteratively to gather feedback
- Located in PST - EST time zones.
- Philosophical alignment with the Stedi Standards.
